Drawing with Silverpoint

Here is a silverpoint drawing of a cat on  Canson pastel Touch paper. This paper feels as a fine grain sandpaper.

Silverpoint is a very interesting tool. the drawing does not smudge, but in some cases can be erased with vinyl eraser. The mark on a paper is actual silver which makes it even more precious drawing.  Another great paper to try for silverpoint is Terraskin. it is made out of calcium carbonate with a bit of resin. one can search the name stone paper to view other brands of such drawing support.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is great blog. A great read. I'll definitely be back.
